Random thought for Thursday. All men’s beauty advent calendars suck. Seriously.
I’ve been looking at all the beauty orientated advent calendars that various brands are releasing over the coming weeks – particularly the ones aimed at men.
First of all, can I just say not all men have a beard? All advent calendars contain a beard oil so brands must be under the assumption that all men walk around with big bushy beards. Guess what? Not all of them do. I don’t need or want a beard oil. Second of all, they always contain a ton of products relating to shaving. Whilst this is sort of nice, and I can appreciate why, do you really need several shaving creams and post shaving balm? No. Multiple serums, moisturisers or oil? Yes!
Having no luck with the men’s advent calendars, I looked at the ones aimed at women. Wow, I was floored. The brands and products that were in the calendars aimed at women were so much better. Lovely ladies out there – you are all so very lucky! I’m put off purchasing a ladies calendar purely for the fact that they often contain makeup or makeup brushes that I will not use.
What I really, really want is just a good solid skincare focused unisex advent calendar. I can never seem to find one. I can say for certain there is a market for this and money to be made somewhere. Brands – give me what I want.
