Boots Ingredients Vitamin C Serum Boots Ingredients Glow Brightening Mist

Boots have their own range of budget ingredient led skincare products and I wanted to try a few to see what I thought of them. I purchased these last summer and here are my thoughts.

VITMAIN C SERUM – £6.00 / 30ml

Vitamin C is a great ingredient to incorporate into your routine. It’s an anti-oxidant that can help your skin look brighter and refreshed.

I found this serum to be ok. I didn’t notice any drastic or huge improvements to the look of my skin.. One thing I do like is that this is in a pump-action bottle. Anyone who’s read my past posts will know I’m not a fan of dropper bottles! However, the pump in this one isn’t very elegant and it tends to ejaculate the product out at quite a force!

There is no smell to this product and it sinks in nicely. I would recommend for Vitamin C newbies.

GLOW BRIGHTENING MIST – £4.00 / 100ml

This is a mist that’s designed to brighten and hydrate your skin. It smells amazing – like Candyfloss – so fragrance haters may want to give this one a miss.

It’s formulated with Niacinamide to help improve the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, dullness and weakened skin surface.

I also found this to be just ok. It can sometimes be a bit irritating on my skin and can feel quite sticky. It’s not overly hydrating either, and sometimes after using it my skin felt drier than before. The pump is more like a spray rather than a mist.

My partner seems to really like it so it could just be my skin that doesn’t enjoy it.

Based on these two products alone, I suspect this range is aimed more towards teens or ladies in their early 20’s judging by the packaging and smell of the Brightening mist. I think it would be perfect for anybody in this age range, for anyone with budget concerns, or for anyone who is just getting started with a full skincare regime. If you’re an avid skincare user, you’re probably not missing much but I’d be interested to know other people’s thoughts or experiences.

Have you tried the Boots Ingredients range before? What are some of your experiences with the products?
