The Nivea Sun UV Face Anti-Age & Anti Pigments Q10 SPF50 is a sunscreen I’ve been using in my routine for a few weeks now.
My Review
I know Purito, La Roche-Posay and Bodyshop are all the rage at the moment in terms of SPF, but did you know Nivea also do a range of SPF’s?
This one is a fantastic broad spectrum sunscreen with a superior four star UVA rating. It boasts that it contains Q10 which is a coenzyme found naturally in body cells. Its role in this SPF is as an anti-oxidant that protects and helps defend the skin against free radicals. Research has indicated that Q10 may help improve the appearance in signs of ageing, hence why this particular sunscreen is labelled as “Anti-Age”.
This is a very moisturising sunscreen and so I do not feel I need to wear a moisturiser underneath it. I wouldn’t really say its lightweight, but it doesn’t feel heavy either. It glides effortlessly into the skin and soaks up nicely without leaving a too much of a shine and leaves no white residue. This layers well with my various serums.
As someone with spot prone skin, I’ve never had a breakout when using this but I would be interested to hear other people’s experiences when using this product. I think the Shine Control version would be better and lighter for oily skin types.
This product does have a very strong scent to it, which is probably the only bad thing I can say about it. I’m not opposed to fragrance in my skincare – I’ve never had an issue with it. However, the scent of this fragrance can be really overpowering at times. This is because of the various fragrance they have formulated this product with so you may wish to avoid this one if fragrance isn’t your thing.
I feel as though you get your value for money – this is a 50ml tube that retails around £6.00. It’s a decent, no-fuss, broad-spectrum SPF and great for if you are on a budget.

How I use it
In the morning after serums and moisturiser. You could skip a moisturiser with this one though – it’s really quite hydrating.
