My Review
I was provided a code for £10 off to try this product and I was initially quite hesitant as I do have spot-prone skin, especially around my temples, and I haven’t particularly got on well with facial oils in the past. As they are a local brand to me and the reviews were quite good, I decided give them the benefit of the doubt.
This is a facial oil by a new-ish brand Monday’s Child. It’s currently their only product and is targeted towards people with oily and blemish prone skin. They say it is designed to erase acne scars, control oil production, even skin tone and hydrate.
I have to say it’s a nice hydrating oil to use with some excellent ingredients. To my surprise, it hasn’t broke me out what-so-ever. I’ve had this product for two months and unfortunately I can’t say that it has done much to erase my old spot scars that are left over from the summer months. However, I do feel though that is good at preventing further scarring of new spots because of the hydrating properties. The one thing I feel that lets this product down is the added lavender essential oil. It smells so strongly of lavender and is unnecessary.
I would recommend for people who are looking for a nice hydrating facial oil who do not mind essential oils and who also can afford it. If you do not like essential oils or find yourself irritated by it, you will not like it. Hopefully the brand will release an additional oil in the future that will be essential oil free. If I’m totally honest, the fact it had essential oils in it nearly put me of buying it, but I really wanted to support the local brand, especially in the current times we live in.
