Formula Glow Bright Eyes Eye Cream Review

Formula Glow Bright Eyes Eye Cream

Those of you who saw my eye creams post may have seen this one in it.  One of the eye creams I’m really enjoying at the moment is the Formula Glow Bright Eyes Eye Cream by Marks and Spencer

What is it?

An eye cream designed to hydrate and brighten the eye area.

What do I think about it?

This to me is really quite similar to the Murad Vita-C Eye Cream, though it has been formulated without the pure form of Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) and instead uses Ascorbyl Glucoside as a substitute, which is a gentler, water soluble form of Vitamin C.

It has a nude-ish colour to it (see texture shot), making it almost like a tinted moisturiser for your eyes. The Ascorbyl Glucoside will help with brightening the eye area.

Vitamin E plays a part in the formulation as an antioxidant and Mica (a type of Silicate Minerals which are ground down into a sparkling powders) helps give your eye area a glow. I’ll note that whilst this does contain Mica, it’s not glittery like applying an eye shadow, it simply just gives the product a bit of a glow.

It’s suitably hydrating for the eye area, and I’ve been enjoying using it. It’s not a life changing product, but its great if you need a little brightening around the eye area. It’s not going to rid your dark circles – you need a proper concealer for that.

Would I recommend?

I do! It’s particularly good if you don’t have the budget to splurge on the Murad eye cream. It’s a good ‘dupe’.

Brands Product Description

Say goodbye to tired, puffy eyes with Formula’s instantly brightening Glow eye cream. It’s proven to firm, hydrate and brighten the skin around your eyes from the very first application. Dark circles and crow’s feet are targeted too, thanks to the antioxidant power of vitamin E and reflective magic of mica. Simply apply a small amount to your fingertip and pat onto your lids and eye contour area.

Key Ingredients

Glycerin, Jojoba Esters, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Sodium Hyaluronate, Vitamin E

How I use it

This is a day time eye cream for me, so I will use it after serums and before moisturiser.

Would I repurchase?

Yes – I really liked the effect around the eye area.

How Much?

The best thing about the Formula Glow Bright Eyes Eye Cream is that it’s only £14.00, which, I think is quite a bargain.
