SkinCity Skincare

I’ve been meaning to write this post for literally months now but life/work has just been too busy. SkinCity is an online skincare store that stock various brands from Oskia to Paula’s Choice. I’ve placed a few orders with them, but did you know they also have their own skincare line?

All their products focus on providing consumers with high-quality active ingredients at an affordable price. As a bonus, they are developed by skin therapists and skincare chemists. One thing I love most about their products is that the active ingredient(s) is clearly stated on the packaging in its own area.

They do trial sets you can pick up for around £20, and each set is suited to a different skin type. Having dry skin, I chose the Normal/Dry set.

If you held a gun to my head and asked me to choose my favourite product from this set, I’m not sure I could. They are all really lovely products. The Luminous Licorice Toner is a close contender (packed with probiotics, PHA & licorice Root Extraxt). The Skin Cell Resurfacer (10% AHA, 1% BHA) comes at a very close second. I can tell I will love the Milky Moisture Toner for colder weather… for now it is a little bit too hydrating for me.

The Mellow Balm Cleanser is gorgeous and I actually prefer it to The Ordinary’s Balm cleanser. While the Soft Foaming Fash Wash is exactly as it says – gentle and non-stripping.

I do have to make an honourable mention to the 24Hr Barrier Extreme Cream. This wasn’t included in the set, but I purchased it alongside it. The Barrier Cream has replaced LRP Cicaplast and Kate Somerville DeliKate moisturiser as my go-to barrier cream when my face feels sensitised.

I absolutely recommend getting your hands on a trial kit. I am so pleased I got mine as there are some products here that I will purchase full-size.

Have you given their products a go?
