BYOMA Brand Overview

Byoma Hydrating Serum Byoma Moisturizing Gel-Cream Byoma Balancing Face Mist Byoma Moisturizing Rich Cream Byoma Brightening Serum

Byoma is created by Future Beauty Labs, the owner of well-known brands such as Tan Luxe and Isle of Paradise.

They launched on Cult Beauty Monday and you’re probably already aware of them. It looks like they’ve sold out on Cult Beauty already so I assume it was a successful launch.

There are currently 7 products in the range, all priced at £12.99 or under, which is amazing given the current climate where we are seeing price increases on our skincare products.

The range aims to boost your skin barrier by use of their ‘breakthrough Tri-Ceramide Complex’. I’m not a formulating chemist, and it could be that I’m missing something, but I can only see one ceramide listed in the ingredients list of the products so I’m not sure how this claim comes about?

A lot of you will be pleased to know the range is fragrance free, vegan friendly and I think this is one of the first brands to launch in recent times that are not using the phrases ‘clean’ or ‘non-toxic’ to market their products.

Here’s my first impressions of the 2 products I’ve tried so far:

🧪 Hydrating Serum
This is the one I was most eager to try, being someone who battles with dry skin. I love the inclusion of Squalane and Glycerin – two powerhouse hydrating ingredients. It’s a milky, slightly thick serum that really provides instant hydration. Unfortunately, mine arrived half full. The product hadn’t leaked in transit, so I’m not sure why it was only half full. Cult Beauty offered a 25% partial refund, which I accepted (had no energy to argue yesterday 😅) but I feel it would have been nice for them to send a replacement.

🧪 Gel Cream
This contains Niacinamide, as does the Brightening Serum, so you may wish to pick one or the other if money is a concern. It has a lovely hydrating gel-consistency. I would personally use this in the day time under an SPF. I’m not sure it would be hydrating enough on its own for me to use PM, but I could be wrong. I need to have a play with it and experiment a bit more.

I’ll report back further on the above and the other products once I’ve had a chance to incorporate some of them into my routines.

Will you be getting your hands on any of them?
