Florena was a brand I hadn’t come across until Escentual sent me a package of their best sellers a couple of months ago.
They pride themselves in their fermented skincare, which they say helps to create stronger, absorbent products. Their whole range is at least 99% natural with sustainable packaging, so if you are someone who likes natural skincare then this range is for you.
I typically prefer skincare ranges that don’t class themselves as natural, but Florena’s products are what I’d call good bookends to a routine. The bookends being cleanse and moisturise.
Everything in this range smells heavenly – it’s a sort of florally scent that verges towards a sherbet-y sweet.
24H Hydrating Day Cream £19.99
With a gorgeous silky texture, there’s absolutely no doubt this moisturiser is hydrating but still feels lightweight and absorbs nicely. Mixed with the facial oil, it is a true saviour for dry winter skin.
Cleansing Bar £8.99
This was my first ever cleansing bar, and whilst I love the feel of it on my face, the lather and the scent, I ultimately found it a bit too drying for my skin. I think this would probably suit oilier or normal skin types more so than my dry & dehydrated skin.
Illuminating Facial Oil £24.99
I personally love this oil best when mixed with a bit of the moisturiser. When used on its own it’s not greasy, doesn’t sit on your face and absorbs well. Again, this is a great product if you’re feeling a bit dry now we’re in winter and the weathers colder.
Intense Hydration Lip Butter £6.99
This is one of their newer launches and only available at Escentual until January 2022. It has a rich, creamy texture and leave you lips feeling moisturised and soft. I use this at night before bed, but could use it in a day as it doesn’t make my lips look like I’m wearing lip gloss.
Gloss Lip Oil £9.99
I have given this to my mum who really enjoys it. It gives your lips a natural glossy look and really nourishes them. She says it’s non-sticky and she would purchase it herself.
