Garnier Ambre Solaire Invisible UV Protection Mist SPF50 Review

Garnier Ambre Solaire Invisible UV Protection Mist SPF50

I find the idea of SPF mists so appealing during summer when you need to reapply sunscreen out on the go. The Garnier Ambre Solaire Invisible UV Protection Mist SPF50 sounded like the perfect one because it promises to be invisible, which is important to me when it comes to sunscreen.

What is it?

A sunscreen mist designed to spray over your face throughout the day as an easy top up. They market it as good for over makeup.

What do I think?

I used this as a top-up throughout the day, not as my main sunscreen in my routine.

I personally didn’t find this to be as good as promised, nor as good as the hype it gets on Instagram.

Some of the things I liked about this mist was how fine the mist action is. Sometimes mist bottles and sprays can feel a little hose like, but the mist action on this one is fine. I also like the fact that it’s SPF50 and that it’s really affordable.

What I didn’t like was it’s definitely not invisible.  For me it left a greasy shine to my face. Further to that, it no matter how careful I am, it eventually seeps into my eyes causing the most unbelieveable stinging.  Really bad stinging to the point I have to go wash my face. It almost blinds me.

It also has quite an overpowering SPF scent to it that I wasn’t really a fan of. I wouldn’t mind if the smell didn’t linger but it does.

Would I recommend?

No. It might be a case of what doesn’t work for me works for you, but I’ll be sticking to the Garnier Protection Face Fluid SPF50+, which I feel is invisible and one of my most recommended sunscreens rather than using this. It just isn’t for me.

How I use it

As a sunscreen top up throughout the day. I wouldn’t use this as my sole sunscreen for the whole day because I’d be worried I’m not applying enough. I would always therefore wear a dedicated sunscreen cream on my face, then only use this for topping up.

Would I repurchase?

No.

How Much?

£6.50 but often on offer.
