Anyone who knows me knows that I am obsessed with Peptides and Ceramides. I love these ingredients and all my routines encompass them in some way. When No7 released their Advanced Ingredients Ceramide & Peptides Capsules capsules recently, I dropped everything to purchase them.
What is it?
The capsules promise to deliver results – reducing wrinkles and making your skin look smoother and feel more elastic.
The thing about these capsules are that they’re very silicone heavy and feel like more like a primer than a serum. So for that reason, I can see where the smoothing claim comes from because it literally does smooth out your skin. It’s almost like a polyfiller for you pores so they’re great if you wake up and feel a bit like Regina George with huge pores.
One of my worries with these was that I wasn’t sure if there would be enough product in each capsule for my face. I feel there is enough, and it’s probably just the right amount. If you’re someone who likes to be quite heavy handed with their serums, you probably wouldn’t like these.
In terms of results, I don’t normally see an instant results when using any peptide serum, I feel they’re more of a long term investment. In this instance I didn’t see any huge results, but that’s ok because I know that the peptides are working in the background.
Would I recommend?
Yes/No. They’re good if you’re going on holiday and don’t want to take a whole serum bottle with you. They lean on the more expensive side, because you can quite easily pick up a separate peptide and ceramide serum for the cost of these alone.

How I use it
I used these mainly in the evening as the serum stage in my routine – so after cleansing and before moisturiser.
Would I repurchase?
I don’t think I will. Yes if I needed some capsulated skincare for travelling. I think with brands like The Ordinary you can easily pick up a peptide serum for half the cost of these.
How Much?
You get 30 capsules for £19.95, so it works out at around 66p per capsule. A bit on the expensive side because you can get a 30ml peptide serum for less. Luckily though No7 often have sales and deals so keep an eye out for those if you’re interested.
