Bightening Morning Skincare Routine SkinCity Luminos Licorice Toner Murad Vita-C Glycolic Brightening Serum Byoma Hydrating Serum Byoma Moisturising Gel-Cream SkinCity SPF50 Light Emulsion

Hope everyone’s having a wonderful Bank Holiday here in the UK. I was in much need of a long weekend. Work has been manic the past couple of weeks so it’s been nice to relax a little bit and recharge my batteries. Here’s a couple of products I’ve been loving this month as part of a brightening morning skincare routine.

SkinCity Luminous Licorice Toner

I am just living for this at the moment. I use this in the toner stage of my routine. This contains Gluconolactone, a PHA, for very mild exfoliation. Chamomile and Liquorice Root Extract and Probiotics have also been added to refresh and soothe the skin, promoting a healthy bacteria to protect and supoort the skins barrier. I really think this is such an underrated product. It’s the most perfect toner for my dry skin, giving me the hydration it needs before applying serums.

Murad Enviromental Shield Vita-C Glycolic Brightening Serum

This is new to me, I’ve only recently started to use it but I’m impressed by the results already. I really cannot explain in words just how amazing the glow is that this serum gives. This, of course, is all thanks to the Glycolic Acid combined with Vitamin C, two well-known skin brighteners. I’m intrigued to see if I find this sensitising using daily due to the Glycolic. So far, there’s been no irritation at all but I’ll be sure to report back.

Byoma Hydrating Serum

I really love this hydrating serum. I think for the price point, it’s great. The milky serum soaks effortlessly into the skin, instantly relieving it of any dryness or tightness. The only bad thing I’ll say so far is the dropper is awful. You just can’t seem to pick up a lot of product with it. This needs to be in a pump. The serum is too thick for a dropper.

Byoma Moisturizing Gel Cream

I’m really surprised just how much I love this. Gel creams can be tricky for me, mainly because I’m dry and often feel I need something a little richer. I feel this gives ample hydration for my skin, especially when layered with the Hydrating Serum mentioned above.

SkinCity SPF50 Light Emulsion

This is another one I’m really enjoying. It’s a light-weight sunscreen but offers the most delicious hydration due to the added Squalane and Ceramides. I think this is another one that gets overlooked. It’s really become one of my favourite sunscreens.
