I was so excited when we finally got our hands on the Aveeno skincare range here in the UK. When I was in my local Boots store, I had a look at the products they had and decided to give the Calm + Restore Triple Oat Serum a try.
What is it?
This is a serum that contain a triple oat complex to calm, soothe and fortify the skin.
What do I think?
I love a soothing serum, and this promised to instantly soothe and restore the moisture barrier.
The texture is lightweight, hydrating and absorbs easily. I think it’s a great budget skin soother (priced at £14.99, though frequently on offer in Boots).
Results wise, it was certainly hydrating and helps calm inflamed, sensitised skin but not instantly – I found I had to give it a few days to really do its job.
If I had to be honest, I think the Kate Somerville DeliKate Recovery Serum does a better job of instantly calming, but it’s is a lot more expensive (priced at £80) so the Aveeno is a great budget choice.
Would I recommend?
If you’re on a budget then certainly go ahead and give this a try.

Would I repurchase?
I’m not sure. I think I would when I’m on a budget and need a soothing serum. Otherwise I would stick to the DeliKate Recovery Serum by Kate Somerville.
