Kate Somerville KateCeuticals Overnight Resurfacing Peel Kate Somerville KateCeuticals Firming Serum Kate Somerville KateCeuticals Lifting Eye Cream Kate Somerville KateCeuticals Total Repair Cream

The KateCeuticals range was born out of the Kate Somerville clinic in Beverly Hills.  It’s a line of products based around Kate’s love of peptides.  There are four products in the line that launched last year. I bought them all and have been just loving them in my routines.

Lifting Eye Cream

If your eye area is one of your current concerns, you may wish to check out the Lifting Eye Cream. They market this as “ultimate wrinkle-smoothing, under eye-soothing, lifting eye cream inspired by top anti-ageing clinic treatments”.

I have to say, I don’t think they’re lying when it comes to this claim. I’ve noticed a more hydrated, brighter eye area.

I have minimal wrinkles around my eye area, and I can say they look a lot reduced than what they were since using this eye cream. I have no doubt it will certainly help prevent the lines given it’s packed with so many amazing ingredients. There’s a triple-peptide complex which helps tackle signs of ageing, increases firmness and elasticity by stimulating collagen product. Brown and Red Algae, which help to reduce dark circles and puffiness. Vitamin C helps with brightening. And then you Hyaluronic Acid, Safflower & Sunflower Seed Oils for plumping and hydrating.

Firming Serum

I used a travel-size of this before buying the full-size and I loved it from first use. It’s one of those serums that immediately makes your skin look and feel better. It’s become my go-to before a party (or night out-out) when I just need my skin to look good.

Again, you have a Tri-Peptide + Hyaluronic Acid Complex for targeting fine lines and stimulating collagen. Mukul Myrrh Extract for hydration which in turn plumps and smooths the skin. Nasturtium Flower which strengthens the skin barrier, smoothing texture & brighten dull-looking skin in the process. Vitamin E for antioxidant benefits that nourishes and soothes the skin. There’s also Pea Extract for hydration, brightening & radiance.

It shouldn’t cause you any irritation at all. It’s been formulated to be powerful, but gentle. I’m impressed.

Total Repair Cream

If you’ve ever used PeptideK8 by Kate Somerville, it’s highly likely you will love this. The Total Repair Cream is slightly richer and I find it much more hydrating for my dry skin. What surprised me most with this was just how little I need. Usually when it comes to moisturiser, I really have to slather it on my face. One pump from this is enough to hydrate and cover my face.

This contains Peptides, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E Squalane for sealing in moisture. You also have Hemp, Macadamia, Babassu & Jojoba Seed Oils all brilliant for providing moisture replenishment and strengthen the skin barrier.

Resurfacing Overnight Peel

This is seriously impressive. It’s a leave on exfoliant that will resurface your skin as you sleep. I tend to use this on a Sunday evening, and Monday morning I will wake up with the softest, smoothest, glowiest skin. It’s unreal.

They have paired Glycolic Acid, which exfoliates and removes dead skin cells, with Encapsulated Retinol which promotes skin cell turnover and reduces fine lines and wrinkles, making this the ultimate anti-ageing companion. To counteract the harshness of the two ingredients mentioned, they have added Ceramides, Niacinamide and Vitamin E to support a healthy skin barrier.

If you had to ask me my favourite product from this range, it would be very hard for me to choose.  But I think it might just be the Total Repair Cream, followed very closely by the Overnight Peel. But then I would be discounting the eye cream and the serum. Can I just say they’re all worth it and good to use?

I’ll be totally honest and say this line is probably aimed at people older than me, but I still love it and see results from using it.  I find it really helps with any redness I have on my skin, and I’m so pleased at how hydrating the range is as a whole.

I also need to mention how delicious the scent is – it’s a sort of fresh, lemony scent (I’m so bad at describing fragrances).

One of the bonuses of this range is that they have created mini’s of the Total Repair Cream and the serum so you can try before you buy.

It’s not cheap by any means, but luckily there have been a few discounts codes knocking around this past year, plus they have even made a few gift sets based around the products which bring the total price down.

Also, did you know that you can FINALLY get a Kate Somerville facial here in the UK at Harvey Nichols in London? They’ve opened up a clinic there offering many of their facial treatments. I’m planning to go one day!

Have you tried any of the KateCeuticals products?
