Chapter 2 of the Trinny London skincare launch saw the introduction of three exfoliants. Tiptoe In PHA Exfoliant, Find Your Balance BHA Exfoliant and Reveal Yourself AHA Exfoliant.
I’ve been loving PHA (Poly-Hydroxy Acids) exfoliants in my routines recently so I chose to go for the Tiptoe In.
What is it?
Tiptoe In is a PHA leave on exfoliant. PHA’s are great for all skin types due to their gentle nature. They don’t penetrate too deeply and I find they are more hydrating than BHA’s and AHA’s.
What do I think?
Tiptoe In uses Glucolactone and Lactobionic acid as their PHA’s to slosh off dead skin cells, giving your skin a natural radiance and also contains trehalose to restore hydration and glycine-bonded azelaic acid to calm redness and stressed skin.
The results are great, you can almost see the glow within a couple minutes of application and it only gets better throughout the day. It’s gentle enough to use daily, and if you cannot tolerate fragrance, it’s also fragrance free. Sadly due to it being fragrance free, the smell isn’t that pleasant, but it soon disperses once applied to the skin.
As with all the launches so far, the packaging is refillable meaning it’s great for the environment and you as the customer get a nearly 20% discount on the refill. 💸
Two pumps is all you need so this will last you a while.
Would I recommend?
Yes – the results are great. You get that mild exfoliation without the irritation. If you want to try the Trinny London exfoliants but don’t know which one to go for, or you’re totally new to exfoliants, you cannot go wrong with Tiptoe In.

How I use it
I use this in the morning. I apply this straight after cleansing, in the toner stage of my routine, and before applying serums, moisturiser and sunscreen.
Would I repurchase?
Yes. It’s nice and hydrating for my dry skin, and I like the mild exfoliation you get from it.
