This is a product that just isn’t for me and I’m a big fan of Kate Somerville products. I’m not hugely keen on mineral sunscreens due to their white casts, but I decided to give this Kate Somerville Daily Deflector Mineral Sunscreen a try when I found it for a cheaper price in TKMaxx.
What is it?
It’s a 100% mineral sunscreen which absorbs & deflects UV rays and promises to help hydrate and strengthen the skin.
What do I think?
Unfortunately I found the white cast on this to be particularly bad for my skin tone. It made me look so pale that I looked ill, and I’m already quite pale anyway. I also found it quite chalky and not very hydrating for my dry skin.
I know a lot of people really rate this, so I think it’s a case of personal preference, but this just isn’t for me. I’m glad I got to try it but I wouldn’t repurchase.
Would I recommend?
If you like mineral sunscreens, don’t mind a white cast and you don’t mind an SPF30, then you will probably like this. It would not be good for darker skin tones at all.

Would I repurchase?
I would not repurchase this. It’s too chalky and leaves too much of a whitecast for my liking.
