First and foremost, all skincare is gender neutral and you can use whatever you want. BUT your typical alpha male probably won’t want to use something that comes in pretty pink packaging, am I right ladies?

Everyone should try take care of their skin, be that for vanity reasons (like me), to pamper and feel good about yourself or simply to protect it from harsh environments.

As a sidenote, I personally, as a man tend to avoid skincare aimed at men. I find them a bit cliche with the black, metalic or blue packaging. I also don’t think they’re necessarily the most active products on the market for a skincare junkie like myself, but for your typical man who isn’t that interested in skincare, they’re good places to start.

If you’re trying unsuccessfully to get your boyfriend to take care of his skin here are some brands/products aimed at men that they may enjoy. I’ve deliberately chosen the basics, because not everyone wants a 5-10 step routine, and that’s absolutely fine.

πŸ’†πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Jordan Samuel Skin The Matinee Gel Cleanser

I love the Jordan Samuel Skin products and his packaging. It’s totally unisex, your boyfriend will have a hard time turning his nose up at it. The Matinee Gel Cleanser is particulary great because it’s a super effective, gentle cleanser that contains chamomile and cucumber extracts and a little bit of salicylic acid. You can’t go wrong with any of his products.

πŸ’†πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ No7 Energising Moisturiser SPF15

The Energising range by No7 is particularly good. The moisturiser contains Vitamin C to give your skin a little antioxidant defence. Great for if they just want a quick routine of cleanse, moisturiser and sunscreen.

πŸ’†πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Super Facialist Hyaluronic Acid Day Moisturiser

Like the No7 Moisturiser, this is a great quick routine moisturiser because it contains hyraluronic acid and also tetrapeptide to help with finelines and wrinkles.

πŸ’†πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Fade Out Skincare Advanced Brightening Moisturiser SPF20 (AD/PR)

This is another quick routine moisturiser due to the added Niacinamide to help brighten and correct an uneven skintone.

πŸ’†πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Garnier Sensitive Advanced UV Face Fluid SPF50

Sunscreen is non-negotiable and this is a superb, light-weight, invisible sunscreen. They won’t even feel like they’re wearing it πŸ˜‰

What’s your partner’s routine like when it comes to skincare? Do you buy skincare for your boyfriend?
