The Jojoba Company are an Australian made & owned skincare brand founded in 2008. Their entire skincare range contains Jojoba which comes straight from their farm. One of their products is The Jojoba Company Multi Defence Moisturiser.

What is it?

A moisturiser which offers SPF15 protection.

What Do I Think?

Their Daily Defence Moisturiser offers 6 in 1 protection from pollution, UVA/UVB rays, infra-red and blue light.  Containing Jojoba, Hyaluronic Acid, Kakadu Plum, Glycerin, Ascorbyl Glucoside (Vitamin C) and zinc, their moisturiser promises to protect from pigmentation and sun damage whilst improving skin radiance and luminosity.

It has quite a thick texture and there is a very slight white cast left on the skin due to the Zinc Oxide. It would have been nice if they could have pushed the SPF protection to a factor 30, but they do state on their website to wear at least a 30 if you are planning prolonged periods of time in the sun. I have dry skin and I personally found it a bit drying on my skin, so it might be suited more to a normal skin type.   I think it would be a bit too heavy for an oilier skin type.

Would I Recommend?

As a moisturiser it’s nice, but I wouldn’t use this as your sole sun protection for the day. Layer at least a SPF30 over the top of it.
