A Few Physical Exfoliants I Love

Marks & Spencer Take Back Your Glow Microdermabrasion Exfoliator Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant Murad AHA/BHA Cleanser Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive

I am not ashamed to say I like scrubs. They are frowned upon on here, but you seriously can’t beat the feeling of your skin after a little physical exfoliation. It’s particularly good before a night out if you just want your skin to look and feel smooth. I bet there’s lots of people on here who love Physical Exfoliants I Love but just don’t want to admit it 😅

Scrubs work differently from liquid exfoliants like AHA’s and BHA’s. Scrubs refine the very surface of the skin, whereas liquid exfoliants reach further, resurfacing all the dead layers of skin.

The most important thing about scrubs is making sure the particles in it are round. I will always avoid anything that contains walnut shells, for example, because they tend to be harsher and more ‘scratchy’ due to their jagged form.

I tend to only buy mini versions of scrubs because I only use them once a week (normally on a Sunday night for me). Here are a few of my favourite ones:-

Contains Glycolic acid and jojoba beads to give you that added glow. This is a really nice budget friendly option. It’s creamy and has the nicest citrus scent.

💜 Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant

This forms a creamy paste by adding water to it. This particular one from Dermalogica contains enzymes, AHA’s, Binchotan Charcoal and Niacinamide. I also like the Daily Microfoliant by Dermalogica and haven’t tried the Milkfoliant to tell you if I like it or not.

💜 Murad AHA/BHA Cleanser

Salicylic, Lactic, Glycolic acids meet Jojoba beads to clear dull, dry skin, revitalising the skin making it smooth and soft to the touch. I like this one because it’s really gentle, but oh so effective.

💜 Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive

My favourite of the bunch. This isn’t for everyone, some people find it really harsh but I don’t have a problem with using it. Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Papaya Pineapple & Pumpkin Enzymes work together to reveal a smooth, glowing complexion. If you’re quite sensitive, try mixing this in with your cleanser to make it a little less strong.

Are you a fan of scrubs? I personally love physical exfoliants!
