The much loved US brand January Labs have launched on SpaceNK this week. January Labs aim to streamline peoples skincare routines, making products with simple formulations that offer visible results.
They’ve initially launched with five products at SpaceNK. I’m sure the rest will follow at some point, probably once they get through the red-tape required.
Three of the products immediately pique my interest. I haven’t tried them yet, but just looking at them on the SpaceNK makes me want to grab my wallet and make a purchase.
RESTORATIVE TONIC MIST
This sounds like a lovely hydrating mist, perfect for topping up hydration throughout the day or using as a toner. It’s got Glycerin for hydration and Witch Hazel for its antibacterial properties, making it great for blemish prone skin. There’s also Aloe Extract which good for soothing the skin. I think I’d like this – you generally can’t go wrong with a good hydrating mist.
MOISTURE RENEW CREAM
There’s two moisturisers in this launch. I’ve chosen the Moisture Renew Cream because it sounds more suited to my dry skin. Squalane and Shea Butter make an appearance in the inci list, both of which are fantastic at hydrating the skin and locking in moisture. There’s also a little bit of lactic acid to mildly exfoliate the skin, helping with improving the skin texture and providing a natural glow.
DAILY BRIGHTENING TONIC
Finally, I’ve chosen the Daily Brightening Tonic, mainly because it contains Lactic Acid. It makes a nice change to see a Lactic Acid based toners, most of the time it feels brand go the Glycolic route. Lactic Acid is a great exfoliating acid, due to the fact it’s tolerated by more people and it has hydrating properties. There’s also Aloe and Witch Hazel in this one. This sounds perfect if you have texture issues, or are maybe feeling a little dry this winter and need an exfoliant to get rid of some dead skin cells and allow your hydrating products into your skin.
