I’m really enjoying the Yendy Skin products at the moment. There’s currently two products in their range – the Antioxidant Power Serum and the Super Shea Moisturiser.
One of the things I love most about Yendy is their philosophy. They love to make functional and high-performing skincare by pairing Africa’s most powerful superfoods with science backed actives. Yendy source their ingredients from small-scale female farming groups in Africa. They want to empower them by paying them a fair price, so they cut out the middleman and buy direct from their female cooperatives.
✨ Antioxidant Power Serum
I cannot tell you what a lifesaver this serum has been. Remember those freezing cold days back in December last year? Well, this literally saved my skin from that brutally cold weather that made my skin tight and irritated. Formulated with all the good oils you’d expect – Marula, Jojoba, Rosehip, Baobab and Squalane – this instantly relieved my dry, uncomfortable skin.
The oils work in harmony together, helping to strengthen the skin barrier, reduce hyperpigmentation, provide antioxidant protection, and moisturise/hydrate. If you want that ‘glazed donut’ look, then you will want this. It’s going to give you that luminous dewy look that’s so desired.
✨ Super Shea Moisturiser
This is a beautiful cream that has the most divine texture (swipe for texture shot). It melts into the skin, and is absorbed quickly. It’s formulated with Shea Butter, Hyaluronic Acid, and Vitamin C to hydrate, plump and soothe the skin. Layering the Super Shea Moisturiser over the Power Serum results in a superbly hydrated, smooth skin.
You can use this day and night, but I prefer to use it at night. It might be a little too rich for those of you with super oily skin, but those of you with dry skin will like this.
Both make fantastic additions to a routine and are perfect for this time of year when your skin is in need of extra nourishment.
