Is anyone as relieved I am that January is over? I don’t want to wish the year away, but what is it with January just feeling a bit depressing and overly long?!

It’s been a good month of empties this month and I managed to empty quite a few. A lot of these have been hanging around for ages and were nearly empty so I tried to use them up to make way for anything I got over Christmas.

Cleansers

😍 Kate Somerville Goat Milk Moisturising Cleanser

One of my favourite cleansers ever. I have backups for my backups. This is for you if you want a luxurious cream, softly foaming cleanser, made especially for those with sensitive or dry skin. The scent is sweetly delicious (I think it’s honey?!), the feel on the skin is amazing, and it’s just a joy to use. For me it’s one of those cleansers I really look forward to using first thing or at the end the day. It’s not cheap, but it’s oh-so worth it.

Sukin Rosehip Nourishing Cream Cleanser*

I really liked this one too! Unlike the Kate Somerville which is also a cream cleanser, this doesn’t foam at all and is more like a traditional cream cleanser. It always left my skin feeling soft and hydrated. It did a really good job at cleaning my skin too, without leaving a film.

Formula Glow Take Back Your Glow Microdermabrasion

If you’ve read one of my recent posts, you’ll know I quite like a scrub. This one which can be found in Marks & Spencer’s is a good one. The particles within the scrub are round and don’t feel scratchy, and it’s in a lovely hydrating cream base. Seems to have been discontinued now, which is a shame 😢

The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser

My first ever post was a review of this cleanser. That must have been 2 years ago now. I still love it. It’s affordable, extremely nourishing on the skin, and will melt away dirt/makeup/sunscreen with ease. Definitely worth trying. I’m not sure if this has been reformulated slightly since I last used it. I remember it being a much more tougher consistency to melt down, but this melted down and felt softer in comparison.

Serums, Moisturisers & Sunscreens

SkinCity 24H Barrier Extreme Cream

This is one of my go-to products during Winter when I need a thick barrier cream to retain moisture. It’s also one of my go-to’s when my skin barrier is feeling compromised and is in need of a little TLC. If you suffer from really dry skin and like thick textures, or you’re looking for something else to try other than La Roche Posay Cicaplast, it’s worth having a look at this one.

Fenty Skin Flash Nap Instant Revival Eye Gel-Cream

I’ve got a review of this coming soon… 😉

SkinCity Mellow Moisture Mask*

I loved using this mask on a Sunday morning when I had a bit of time and I just wanted to pump some hydration into my skin. The thing I liked most about it was some of the fantastic ingredients in it – Ceramides, Colloidal Oats, Shea Butter and Soybean Oil. All are aimed at hydrating, restoring the skin barrier, soothing and calming the skin. Whilst I would use this primarily as a mask, quite often I’d wear this to bed in the evening. It felt a shame to wash it off sometimes 😂

Allies of Skin Multi Hyaluronic Antioxidant Hydration Serum

I’ve got a review of this coming soon too…

😍 SOS SPF 50 Moisturising Sun Cream

I was originally gifted this to try, and I loved it so much that it’s become a repeat purchase. Those of you who saw my review on this will know how much I love this and suggest people try it. The packaging doesn’t look great admittedly, but it’s what’s inside that really counts.

Bondi Sands Gold’n Hour Vitamin C Serum*

I really thought this was a good, budget friendly Vitamin C serum. I loved the syrupy texture. It’s a little sticky when applied to the skin, but once moisturiser or sunscreen is layered on top, the stickiness dissipates. When I’m on a budget and in need of a Vitamin C serum, I will seriously consider picking this up.

Fenty Skin Hydra Vizor*

Another one I’ve posted a review of before. I’ve repurchased this multiple times and will definitely do so again at some point in the future. I see this more as a winter sunscreen because I prefer a SPF50 in the summer months.

Lumene Lahde Nordic Hydra Intense Hydration Moisturiser**

I was gifted this as part of a paid partnership with Lumene and have posted my thoughts on this before. I love this cream. It’s a ‘wet’ cream that just feels amazingly hydrating on the skin. It’s been a total savior over the colder weeks in October/November/December.

Fenty Skin Fat Water*

And… another one I’ve reviewed in the past. I forget how much I like this until I start using it again. I just love it as a really nice hydrating toner.

Superdrug Me+ Peptide Lip Balm

I have a little review of this coming up too…

Bodycare

Fenty Skin Buff Ryder (AD/PR)

I used this almost every single Sunday night. It’s glorious. The smell is divine (sort of caramel-like) but doesn’t linger on your body in a way that would annoy me. (I don’t like body products that leave a fragrance on the skin that is all you can smell for the whole night (looking at you Body Shop 👀)). It isn’t too abrasive, but abrasive enough that it’ll sort out any skin texture. And, the added addition of the oil makes my skin SO soft and smooth.

SBC Hydra-Collagen Body Wash (AD/PR)

This was a really nice body wash with a nice subtle, sweet fragrance. It lathered nicely, felt nice on the skin and seemed to last quite a long time too.

Haircare

The Hair Boss by Lisa Shepherd The Scalp Soothing Tonic (AD/PR)

I really liked this too and would repurchase. It’s so affordable, and it felt nice to be applying something dedicted to my scalp because normally it’s my face that gets all attention.
