Save Money on your Skincare

Times are sadly tough for a lot of us at the moment. We’re all having to reign our spending in a little bit, myself included.  I thought I would do a little post on how you can save money on your skincare purchases.  These are probably all obvious but I thought I’d share my tips nonetheless 😂

Shop your stash

This should be your first point of call. I’m sure there’s lots of you out there who have a lot of products lying around that could be used first before buying something new. Try shopping your stash and using what you have before splurging on something new.

Shop Budget Beauty

There are so many affordable brands out there now. Places like Superdrug, Boots and Aldi have a range of budget beauty products that are often on special offer, giving you a bargain.  There may even be a few dupes available that can replace your beloved expensive products temporarily until things are better.

Look for discount codes

I personally try not to pay full price for anything. I will hunt the web for discount codes and keep signed up to brands mailing lists so I’m notified when something’s on sale. Check out your favourite influencers pages because quite often they’ll have a link in bio that includes a discount code.

GWP’s

Try waiting to buy something until the brand has an irresistible gift with purchase.  I quite like doing this because if was going to buy something, I’d much rather receive something additional for the same price I was going to pay.

Giftsets/Kits/Boxes

These are a great option too. You will often find that instead of buying the product individually it will be available in a giftset, kit or box for the same price (if not a little bit more) but you’ll get additional products included.  SpaceNK and Cult Beauty do some amazing discovery boxes at a really good price, so it’s worth checking them out.

Add things to your basket and leave them

This is a little trick that gets overlooked. Go to the website you want to buy something from, sign into your account and add some products to your basket but don’t check out.  Occasionally the brand will email you a couple of hours later with a discount code to tempt you to go through with the purchase. It might only be 10%, but it’s better than nothing.
