Allies of Skin Multi Hyaluronic Acid Antioxidant Hydration Serum Review

Allies of Skin Multi Hyaluronic Acid Antioxidant Hydration Serum

Allies of Skin isn’t a brand I’ve dabbled a lot with, but I picked up their Multi Hyaluronic Acid Antioxidant Hydration Serum to try. I have dry and dehydrated skin so I’m always testing and using different hydrating serums to target those concerns. I wasn’t too keen on their Molecular Saviour Probiotics Treatment Mist so I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this, but I’m so glad I tried it because I loved it.

What is it?

It’s one of those serums that where I feel the name doesn’t quite do it justice. I had assumed it was just a hydrating serum, but it is so much more.  It’s a hydrating, anti-ageing, skin boosting serum.

What Do I Think?

As with all the Allies products, this boasts and impressive formulation.  You get multiple forms of Hyaluronic Acid (low and high molecular weight) which act like a moisture magnet, drawing in moisture from the air to give you a plumper, more hydrated skin.  The 5% Resveratrol Ferment Complex and 2% Superoxide Dismutase help to reduce signs of fatigue and support a healthy skin barrier. They’ve teamed all of this with 8 Antioxidants to battle free radical damage. And, if that wasn’t good enough, there’s also Peptides to stimulate collagen production and Niacinamide to strengthen the skin barrier.

Being totally honest, I really wasn’t sure how I felt about this when I first started using it.  Initially I thought it was quite expensive for what it was. When used over a period of time I did notice a significant difference in the hydration levels in my skin. My skin began to look plumper, healthier and any dehydration lines were diminished. Any reservations I had about this were dropped, and I ended up really appreciating it in my routines for the results.

I found it extremely easy to incorporate into my routines. The gel-cream-like texture layered well with other products and absorbed into the skin nicely. It didn’t feel tacky, like some hyaluronic acid based serums can feel when applied.

The smell is interesting. It’s unfragranced, making it perfect for those of you who are intolerant to fragrance. If I had to describe the scent I would probably say it’s similar to damp soil? It really didn’t bother me, because the scent dissipates quickly when applied to the skin, and the results were worth it.

Would I Recommend?

Yes I would. It works well as a hydrating serum and I love the addition of the antioxidants and resveratrol. I feel like it’s a one-and-done serum, so this could easily be the sole serum you use in your routine.
