New Sunscreen Alert 🚨 And it’s a good one… Skin Proud have just launched their latest creation – Skin Proud Serious Shade SPF50+.

With this sunscreen, it was genuinely love at first use. It’s everything I look for in a sunscreen – lightweight, no white cast, layers well with other products – it’s an actual dream.

The texture is somewhat similar to the LRP/Garnier Fluid sunscreens – a nice light milky-serum texture. It absorbs incredibly well, and leaves a nice satin finish. Skin Proud say it leaves a dewy finish, I however, think it’s more of a satin finish than dewy. There is absolutely no greasy residue with this one. They’ve also ensured there is no flashback, meaning your summer photos will not be ruined with the dreaded sunscreen flashback.

As well as protecting your skin from the sun, they’ve formulated this with skincare benefits. It boasts a restoring barrier restoring ceramides, Acerola Cherry Extract for brightening and Spirulina for antioxidant protection.

Whilst it does feel hydrating on the skin, it’s not enough for me as someone with dry skin to totally skip moisturiser. That’s ok though, because it layers extremely well with a manner of different moisturisers and serums.

The nozzle on the bottle makes for easy measurement of two or three fingers lengths of sunscreen. I also like that the bottle is extremely thin so it would be easier to pack if you’re going away.

The Skin Proud Serious Shade SPF50+ costs £16.50, which I think is very reasonable for such a cosmetically elegant sunscreen.

Are you tempted to give this a try? ☀
