Summer is a little bit of a battle for me. I suffer from dry/dehydrated skin, but when it’s warm out, I tend to prefer a lighter textured moisturiser on my face. Luckily there’s a ton of water based, gel creams available on the market now. They’re designed to be lightweight, but drench the skin with hydration. Here are some I’m reaching for this Summer…
💦 Kate Somerville HydraKate Recharging Water Cream**
I’ve posted a review on this before. It’s definitely one of my favourite launches from recent times. HydraKate Recharging Water Cream is a superbly lightweight gel-cream that really packs a punch when it comes to hydration. It’s designed especially for those with dehydrated skins. This has been formulated with Aqua Port Technology which helps deliver the hydration further into the skin, Marigold Extract for plumping and smoothing the appearance of wrinkles, and Blue Light Activated Algae to boost radiance.
💦 Trinny London Energise Me
The one photographed is a travel-sized version, but I’ve since gone on to purchase the fullsize. The impressive ingredients list of Niacinamide, Succinic Acid, Cica and Hyaluronic Acid means that you can really simplify your morning routine by just using this if you wanted to. Although the texture is light, like the others, it really drenches the skin with hydration. This probably has the lightest texture compared to the other two, and I am obsessed with the scent of it.
💦 Skin Proud Sorbet Skin*
This is another one that sinks in within seconds and hydrates the skin without any heaviness. They’ve formulated this with a 4-part hyaluronic acid complex to provide hydration on all levels of the skin, as well as hydration hero Glycerin and conditioning Rose Water. Once absorbed, it doesn’t leave any residue but skin feels really comfortable and hydrated.
