I’ve been testing three products from the range, and as always with Philip Kingsley, I’m impressed. One issue I often have with haircare designed for those suffering with itchy scalps is that they can be quite drying on the hair. The three products mentioned below ensure that does not happen. They work together to ensure the scalp itchiness is resolved without compromising your hair health.
💚 Philip Kingsley Flaky/Itchy Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
First I need to say that I adore the apple scent to this 🤤😍. This is gentle enough to be used daily, but effective enough at relieving scalp irritation. It always leaves my hair feeling clean and soft, but it doesn’t dry my hair out at all. The key ingredients for this shampoo are Lauryl Betaine and Piroctone Olamine which both work harmoniously together to ensure the hair is cleansed, flaking and itching is relieved but without any irritation.
💚 Philip Kingsley Flaky/Itchy Hydrating Conditioner
This really does pack the hair with hydration and my hair always looks and feels incredibly soft, smooth and hydrated after use. I also like that it doesn’t weigh my hair down or leave a ‘film’ (does anyone know what I mean by that?!). The moisture rich formula contains Pataua Oil, Pro Vitamin B5 and Betaine to give you the conditioned, healthy locks you desire.
💚 Philip Kingsley Flaky/Itchy Scalp Toner
This is an easy to use toner for your scalp that will help ease an itchy scalp, soothing it immediately. You simply apply it after you have washed your hair and it gets to work soothing the scalp. Piroctone Olamine is also in this toner for fighting bacteria, whilst Camphor cools and soothes and Benzalkoium Chloride helps provide lasting relief from itching.
If you’re in the camp like me whose scalp gets itchy and irritated but your hair can easily get dry, this is a range for you. The itching will be soothed but it won’t leave your hair feeling dry as a result.
