Byoma Moisturising Rich Cream Review

Byoma Moisturising Rich Cream

If you’re looking for an affordable moisturiser for those with dry skin but do not want anything too heavy, the Byoma Moisturising Rich Cream just might be for you.

What is it?

A moisturising gel-cream designed to hydrate, moisturise and boost the skin barrier.

What Do I Think?

I really liked this moisturiser from Byoma.

I actually think the name of this moisturiser is a little bit misleading. Being named a ‘Rich Cream’, you expect an occlusive, heavy moisturiser, but it’s actually got quite a light texture. As someone with dry skin, I feel it perfectly met the line between providing enough hydration to the skin but not having too much of a heavy texture. I’d find my skin would feel deeply nourished and hydrated when I used this.

The Byoma Moisturising Rich Cream melts into the skin effortlessly, leaving a semi-matte finish. I thought it was a perfect texture for morning or evening routines, and it always felt ‘enough’ for my skin.

As with all Byoma products, it’s been formulated with their Tri-Ceramide Complex (a mix of fatty acids, ceramides and cholesterols) to help strengthen and restore the skin’s moisture barrier. They’ve also added Bakuchiol and Shea Extracts to this moisturiser to nourish and soothe the skin. Something I really like about the Byoma products is that they’re all focused on keeping a healthy strong skin barrier. The stronger your skin barrier, the less likely you will be prone to dryness, dehydration and irritation.

One issue with this moisturiser I will mention is it can be quite hard to get out of the pump, especially when you’re nearing the bottom. It’s even more difficult to get any last remnants out the packaging because the plastic is hard so you’re unable to squeeze any out. You’ll definitely need a spatula of some kind to get every last drop out.
