I always say if you’re on a budget and need a good cleanser, look for a cleansing oil. They tend to last longer than balms and they clean the skin exceptionally well. The Disciple Skincare Night Shift AHA Oil Cleanser is no exception.

What is it?

A cleansing oil designed to cleanse the skin and gently exfoliate at the same time.

What Do I Think?

The Disciple Skincare Night Shift AHA Oil Cleanser cleans the skin like a dream. It melts away sunscreen, makeup and dirt easily and leaves the skin feeling soft and hydrated.

It makes for an excellent cleanser in winter, not only due to how hydrating it is, but thanks to the fruit derived alpha hydroxy acids it gently exfoliate dead skin cells. This supercharges your remaining routine, allowing products to penetrate more. If you’re someone who needs exfoliating but struggles to use exfoliating toners, this may be a good cleanser for you to use. You get the exfoliating action from the AHA’s but irritation should be minimal because you’ll be rinsing it off.

There’s a subtle neroli scent to it, which is really pleasant and relaxing of an evening. There’s nothing better than a cleanser with a decent scent. It really adds to the experience.

This oil cleanser doesn’t emulsify, so if you’re someone who likes their oil cleanser to turn into milk, you’re out of luck with this one. I do like to emulsify generally, but surprisingly I didn’t miss it whilst using this.

The cleanser comes with a cloth that you can use to remove the oil. The cloth is decent quality and washable, so you can re-use as many times as you like.

If you’re someone who shaves their face, it also makes for an excellent shaving oil. The razor glides across the face with easy without tugging or irritating the skin.

Would I Recommend?

Yes! If you like oil cleansers, this is a really nice one to use.
