One of my favourite skincare brands, Skin Proud have branched out into bodycare. You can now grab yourself body care products packed with active ingredients to ensure your body is taken care of as much as your face.
There’s currently 10 products in the Body Proud collection, ranging from body washes, moisturisers, serums and tools.
I’ve been testing two of the new products – the Smooth Talk Exfoliating Body Serum and the Sleep Hero Overnight Recovery Mask.
💪🏻 Smooth Talk Exfoliating Body Serum
Smooth Talk is a lightweight serum designed for the body that contains AHA’s for exfoliation, Niacinamide for brightening and Caffeine to energise the skin. I’ve really liked this over the summer months when I don’t want a heavy cream on my body.
It absorbs into the skin really well and doesn’t leave a sticky residue. It’s lightly fragranced, but this disappears not long after the product has absorbed, which I really like.
You can use this on its own or layer a body moisturiser over the top of it if you like.
💪🏻 Sleep Hero Overnight Recovery Mask
Sleep Hero has a unique jelly-like texture that I really like. It’s hydrating, but doesn’t feel heavy or suffocating on the skin. It can feel a tad sticky when first applied, but this does go away once it’s fully absorbed.
The star ingredients in this are Hyaluronic Acid for attracting and retaining water in the skin, retinol for improving the appearance of fine lines, uneven skin tone and roughness and Niacinamide to brighten. Again, this is lightly fragranced but this also disappears not long after the product is absorbed.
I find when using both consistently, my body looks a lot brighter and my skin looks ‘healthier’ and softer.
