Byoma make some truly fantastic products, especially considering how affordable their products are. The Byoma Moisturising Gel Cream was another winner for me.
What is it?
This is a gel-textured moisturiser designed for all skin types which provides lightweight hydration and moisturisation to the skin.
What Do I Think?
I really enjoyed this Byoma Moisturising Gel Cream in the day time. It’s got a lovely gel-cream texture and it plays well with other products.
This moisturiser is hydrating, but lightweight and oil free. Being a gel cream, it’s probably aimed at an oilier skin type, but my dry skin loved it for day time under a sunscreen. I don’t feel it would be enough for the evening when I want something richer. I’m also not sure it would be quite enough in the very cold winter months, but as a general year-round moisturiser it works great.
Byoma have formulated this to help brighten the skin and support the skin barrier. It leaves skin feeling soft and moisturised.
Really the only bad thing I can say about it is the packaging. Whilst it looks good, and I love the fact they’ve labelled what all the ingredients are doing on the back, it can be really hard to actually get the moisturiser out of the pump, especially when you’re nearing the end of the product. You end up having to unscrew the pump and dig the product out with the pipe – defeating the purpose of having a pump in the first place.
The plastic of the packaging is hard too, so you will struggle to take scissors to it to get out any last remnants. This is nearly empty now and I can still see quite a lot of product at the bottom that I just can’t get out.
It’s a shame because the product is great but the packaging just infuriates me. The good thing is that it’s really affordable, so a great choice if you’re on a budget, just be weary of the dodgy packaging.

I would! The price is fantastic and it’s a good solid gel-cream moisturiser.
