Clarins Super Restorative Range

Clarins Super Restorative Range

Here’s a something a little different. For this post, my partner will be taking over because this is a range that he has been trying. These three products from the Clarins Super Restorative range came together in a Christmas giftset.

The Super Restorative range is aimed as those 50+, not my partners age range by any stretch, but there’s nothing to say he can’t use it. They key ingredient across this range is Harungana Extract, which Clarins tout as effective as retinol. It’s also aimed at those with menopausal skin (again, not an issue my partner would have), but it’s suitable to be used by all.

CLARINS SUPER RESTORATIVE REMODELLING SERUM

What is it?
This is the serum in the range which promises to lift the face, fade wrinkles and fine lines and reduce the appearance of dark spots.

Targets
Fine Lines & Wrinkles, Loss of elasticity, Dullness, Hyperpigmentation.

What’s in it?
Harungana Extract & Narrow-leaf plantain – Fights loss of elasticity and stimulates collagen production.
Montpellier Rock-rose – helps fade pigmentation, promoting an even complexion.

What did my partner think?
This had a gel-like texture. It didn’t feel noticeably hydrating. He used it because it was there to be used, but wasn’t sure if there was any noticeable benefit from using it.

Price
£86.00 for 30ml

CLARINS Super Restorative Day Cream – All Skin Types

What is it?
A replenishing and nourishing day cream designed to plump, lift and reduce signs of ageing whilst providing antioxidant protection.

Targets
Fine Lines & Wrinkles, Loss of elasticity, Dullness, Dryness, Dehydration.

What’s in it?
Harungana Extract – Fights loss of elasticity and stimulates collagen production.
Desert date – Evens skin tone, promoting a radiant complexion.
Sea Lilly – Hydrates the skin.
Organic Coconut Water – Provides nutrients to the skin.
Shea Butter – Nourishes the skin.
Succory dock-cress – Encourages the skin to fight against environmental aggressors.
Furcellaria – Helps prevent dehydration.

What did my partner think?
It’s got a nice fruity/floral scent that’s not too feminine. The texture is a thick, smooth mousse-like texture that spreads nicely and absorbs well. This was his favourite from the range. Although he likes it, he doesn’t feel like it’s anything special, but does a good job as a moisturiser. It’s not necessarily helped with fine lines and wrinkles but it has helped with elasticity and dryness and dehydration. It gives the skin a nice glow so the dullness claim is met.

Price
£80.00 for 50ml

CLARINS SUPER RESTORATIVE NIGHT CREAM – ALL SKIN TYPES

What is it?
A night moisturiser designed to support menopausal skin that has been impacted by hormonal changes.

Targets
Fine Lines & Wrinkles, Loss of elasticity, Dullness, Dryness, Dehydration.

What’s in it?
Harungana Extract – Fights loss of elasticity and stimulates collagen production.
Desert date – Evens skin tone, promoting a radiant complexion.
Sea Lilly – Hydrates the skin.
Shea Butter – Nourishes the skin.
Succory dock-cress – Encourages the skin to fight against environmental aggressors.
Furcellaria – Helps prevent dehydration.

What did my partner think?
This has more of a traditional cream texture that you would expect from a night cream. Since he ran out of this, he hasn’t missed it and has just been using the day cream as his night moisturiser. Therefore, you could easily skip this and just use the day cream if you wanted to.

Price
£84.00 for 50ml
