From the minute I heard about the new Erborian CC Body, I wanted to try it to see what it was like. The thing that appealed to me most was it promises to give you a bronzed, moisturised, blurred skin on your body. Who doesn’t want that, especially in Summer?
What is it?
This is a really clever body product. Just like traditional CC Creams for your face, Erborian CC Body is a white cream that contains microencapsulated pigments that blend and adapt to your skin tone when massaged in, giving you a subtle sun-kissed look. They’ve deliberately made this so it can be used by all different skin tones.
What Do I Think?
There’s lots of things I like about this. Firstly, it’s SO easy to blend just using your hands. You literally just massage it into your skin and you’re good to go. At first it looks a little crazy and initially it looks really dark, but it eventually blends out nicely and leaves a really nice flattering glow. A little amount of product goes along way, so I feel this has potential to last a while, depending on how much and how frequently you use it.
Secondly, it provides a really nice bronzed, soft-focus finish on the skin. It also looks really natural. If you’re like me and dread getting your legs out come summer due to paleness, then this instantly fixes that issue. It’s perfect for hiding imperfections, such as veins or bruises.
Once applied, it doesn’t feel sticky or greasy. It just makes your skin feel moisturised, incredibly soft and better looking.
This isn’t a self-tanner, so it washes off at the end of the day. Erborian say this won’t transfer onto clothes. I have to disagree – it definitely does if you’re not careful. To mitigate this, wait a few minutes before putting clothing on, and just try not to rub your arms against your clothing throughout the day. Be wary of hugging anyone wearing white too 😂
It has a really pleasant, soft clean scent to it. I have no idea what the fragrance actually is, but it’s pleasing and not overpowering.
Overall, I’m really pleased with it. The finish looks and feels great on the skin and it’s a good little cheat to faking a glow over summer.
