Geek and Gorgeous are one of my favourite discoveries of 2023 so far. Their products are super affordable, work extremely well and I’ve been really pleased with the results. I’ve been using the Geek and Gorgeous C-Glow for around 2 months now, and I’m impressed.

What is it?

C-Glow is a 15% Vitamin C + Ferulic Acid + Vitamin E serum designed to provide antioxidant protection, boost collagen and even and brighten the skin.

What Do I Think?

This is formulated with Ascorbic Acid which is the purest form of a Vitamin C. Ascorbic Acid is notorious for being unstable, so Geek and Gorgeous create batches of C-Glow every week to ensure products ordered by their customer are delivered with as long shelf life as possible.

They recommend that you keep this in the fridge to keep it fresh for at least 3 months. Geek and Gorgeous actually recommend you get a 10ml mini bottle from them and decant each week into this if you don’t want to keep going to the fridge to get your serum each day. This keeps it from oxidizing meaning you get the optimum results.

When you first get the product it’s clear. As it loses potency and the Ascorbic Acid oxidises, it turns yellow so you can quite clearly see when the product might not be at its most efficient.

This is a truly lightweight watery serum. It soaks into the skin effortlessly and doesn’t feel sticky or tacky once absorbed. I’ve found it layers really well with all different serums.

It has that slight hot-dog water like scent that you generally get from Ascorbic Acid based serums. As I’ve mentioned before, I actually quite like this smell for some reason, so it doesn’t bother me in the slightest 😂

In terms of results, I’ve noticed a brighter, even skin tone. It’s really helped fade dark marks from spots quicker. I haven’t experienced any irritation whilst using it either.

I like to use my Vitamin C serums in the day, but you can also use this at night if you prefer.

Overall, I’m really impressed by this. It offers brilliant results and it’s so affordable being priced at £11.95 – I mean you really can’t do better than that. I know a lot of people say this a dupe for the SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic Vitamin C Serum, but I can’t speak for that because I haven’t tried the SkinCeuticals before.
