Kate Somerville Line Release Under Eye Repair Cream

The Kate Somerville Line Release Under Eye Repair Cream is possibly one of the most effective eye creams I’ve ever used. I was extremely lucky and picked this up in TKMaxx for a really good price back in January.

What is it?

Kate Somerville Line Release Under Eye Repair Cream aims to diminish fine-lines and dark circles and firm the eye area. It utilises the power of peptides to tackle fine-lines, lift and firm. Vitamins A, C & E provide antioxidant protection, and for hydration it contains Soybean Protein and Cucumber Extract.

What Do I Think?

It’s got a really lightweight texture, but really packs a punch when it comes to long-lasting hydration. It helps to brighten the eye area thanks to the Light Defusing Pearls contained.  I was initially concerned about the Light Defusing Pearls, thinking it would look glittery or fake, but don’t worry, it’s just gives a flattering glow. Whilst this helps to brighten, if dark circles are you main concern, a concealer would be your best bet for covering those.  There’s only so much an eye cream can do for dark circles.

In terms of results, with continued use, I’ve definitely seen a more youthful eye area. My fine-lines look reduced and I haven’t had any irritation or dryness.  Obviously it’s not going to rid wrinkles completely, but it certainly helps smooth them out.

Packaging wise, it comes in a really nice sturdy bottle with a pump.  The pump dispenses a little too much product, so you’re going to only want to use half a pump and this will be enough to cover both eyes. I also like the little window at the side so you can see how much product you’ve got left. I really think it’s a great product.

If your eye area is particularly sensitive around the eye area and cannot use retinol eye creams, this would be a really good eye cream to try. You’ll get the ‘anti-ageing’ benefits without the irritation.

Would I Repurchase/Buy?

The price is quite expensive (£120 for 15ml), so I would really only recommend this if you can afford it and you have concerns about your eye area. Luckily Kate Somerville are quite generous on their sales (especially recently), so you should be able to pick it up for a good deal.
