I have been dying to get my hands on this moisturiser for the longest time after reading so many good reviews about it. Stratia Liquid Gold lives up to its name and has a cult status, and for a good reason. This has recently been re-named Lipid Gold.
What is it?
A highly moisturising moisturiser with incredible ingredients designed to support and maintain a healthy skin barrier.
What Do I Think?
This really is everything I look for in a moisturiser. It has Ceramides, Cholesterol and Fatty Acids, Niacinamide, Panthenol, Glycerin, Squalane – all important ingredients to support a strong, resilient moisture barrier. All these amazing ingredients are combined into one lightweight but hydrating cream.
It’s perfect for barrier repair, when you’ve overdone the retinol or exfoliation. However, don’t wait until your skin is sensitised to use it – I find it best to use alongside your retinoids and acids to counteract any sensitivity that may occur.
I think as we head into the colder winter months, this may not be enough for my supremely dry skin, but I would happily layer this underneath a basic thicker moisturiser and use as a hydrating serum step instead.
