L’Oreal Paris Revitalift 2.5% Hyaluronic Acid + Caffeine Eye Serum Review

L'Oreal Paris Revitalift 2.5% Hyaluronic Acid + Caffiene Eye Serum

The L’Oreal Paris Revitalift 2.5% Hyaluronic Acid + Caffeine Eye Serum really had a moment this year on Instagram and TikTok. It felt like you couldn’t see a reel without it being featured.

What is it?

L’Oreal Paris Revitalift 2.5% Hyaluronic Acid + Caffeine Eye Serum is designed to hydrate, brighten lessen the look of fine lines and wrinkles around the eye area.

What Do I Think?

Before we get onto performance, I really do need to praise L’Oreal for the cooling metal applicator this eye serum comes with. It feels gloriously cooling first thing in the morning, when my eyes tend to need a little bit of waking up. As well as feeling nice, it’s also good for a little bit of de-puffing.

L’Oreal have formulated this with 2.5% Hyaluronic Acid, which will deeply hydrate the eye area. By drenching the area with hydration, you will notice fine lines and wrinkles look less pronounced. It’s amazing what a bit of hydration can do for the skin, and it often falls by the wayside in favour of harsher active ingredients. Don’t underestimate the power of hydration. I often have friends who complain about fine lines and wrinkles, when actually their skin is just dehydrated and in need of some deep hydration.

They’ve also included Caffeine in the formulation, which helps to reduce the look of dark circles and puffiness. If you suffer from dark circles, this will help brighten them slightly, but ultimately you will need a concealer over the top to totally hide them.

I used this during the summer months and I really enjoyed using it. It felt incredibly hydrating and cooling when applied. The texture feels like a nice light-weight, watery serum. It soaks into the eye area effortlessly and doesn’t leave a sticky or tacky residue. I’d imagine this would be fantastic layered under a concealer because it will hydrate the eye area without upsetting anything layered over the top.

I like using some sort of eye product in my routines, because it ensures that I actually take care of that area rather than missing it.

I think this would be a fantastic product to incorporate into your routine if you do not have major concerns about your eye area. If you’re in your 20s or 30s, this would be a really good choice. If you really do have visible lines, you might want to go for something slightly more ‘active’ with peptides or retinoids in it to help with those.

Key Ingredients

  • Hyaluronic Acid – Hydrates, smooths the skin and as a result, has a plumping effect on the skin.
  • Caffeine – Helps brighten the look of dark circles.
  • Niacinamide – Helps brighten the look of dark circles.

How I Use It

I’d use this after using my other serums and before moisturiser. I tended to use this in my morning routines, and I used a more traditional cream textured eye product at night. There’s nothing to stop you using this day and night, it’s just I prefer a cream texture at night.

Would I Repurchase/Buy?

Absolutely! I think I’ll pick this back up when the warmer weather hits.

How Much?

£25.00 for 20ml. Do not pay £25 – it’s always on offer somewhere, so shop around to bag yourself a bargain. I’ve seen it on the Boots £10 Tuesday deals multiple times.
