28 Day Skin have formulated their own Mandelic Acid based serum, named Sensitive Skin Exfoliant, designed to brighten, decongest, smooth and provide an even skin tone.

What is it?

This is a gentle exfoliating serum, designed to exfoliate dead skin cells, brighten the skin and promote collagen production.

What Do I Think?

Mandelic Acid is one of my favourite acids to exfoliate my skin with. Why? Well, for starters, it’s one of the gentlest acids so it’s great if you have sensitive skin. I also find that it doesn’t dry out my already dry skin.

The blend of acids Mandelic, Malic and Glycolic get to work upon application exfoliating the skin, removing any build-up of dead skin cells. This provides a wonderful natural, lit-from-within glow to the skin and a smoothness that it’s utterly desirable. It will help prevent and ease any breakouts by clearing any blocked pores and regulating oil production.

They’ve also formulated this with Glycerine to help hydrate the skin whilst the acids work their magic.

Whilst you could use this daily, I personally don’t. I’m always conscious about over-exfoliating my skin, so I opt to use this 2-3 times a week instead.

I like the little roller-ball applicator on this serum. It makes it super convenient to apply, and you can even use it to target specific areas of concern if you don’t wish to use it all over your face.
