It’s the end of the year, and I thought I’d do a little skincare awards post featuring my favourite products of 2023. These are mix of some newbies, and some of my most beloved products.

🏆 Favourite Brand Discovery of 2023 – Geek & Gorgeous

If you haven’t yet tried this brand, make sure it’s on your list to try in 2024. Everything is affordable, and the formulations are absolutely fantastic. You can easily switch out some of your more expensive products for some of the products they create. I’m super pleased to have discovered them this year, and I can’t wait to see what they release next.

🏆 Favourite Launch of 2023 – Tatcha The Silk Serum

This is a really hard category to choose, but ultimately I had to give this award to Tatcha. There’s something about the Silk Serum that I love. It just makes my skin look youthful, plump and healthier. This launched earlier this year and has been a firm favourite of mine.  It’s a designed to be a gentler alternative to retinol, so would be a good choice if you have sensitive skin. 🏆 Best Cleanser (Luxury) – Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser

If you’ve been reading my content for a long time, this will be no surprise to you. It’s my all-time favourite cleanser. I have backups for my backups. I can’t live without it and I love using it. It’s creamy, cleanses my skin effortlessly, smells beautiful and is just a total joy to use. Read my review here.

🏆 Best Cleanser (Affordable) – Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser

I couldn’t have been more impressed with this. It’s a nice gentle cleanser that always left my skin feeling soft, moisturised, clean and conditioned. Read my review here.

🏆 Best Moisturiser (Luxury) – Trinny London Bounce Back Intense Peptide Moisturiser

I have been obsessed with this since it launched last year. I’m a total sucker for moisturisers with peptides in them, and this one is a total winner. It moisturises my skin beautifully, and I notice a real difference in my skin when I use it. Read my review here.

🏆 Best Moisturiser (Affordable) – Stratia Lipid Gold (formerly known as Liquid Gold)

I can totally understand the hype behind this one. It’s lightweight, but extremely hydrating and amazing for maintaining a strong skin barrier. Read my review here.

🏆 Best Serum (Luxury) Murad Retinal Resculpt

I still need to post a full review for this one, but it is truly transformative. When it came through the door this year, I was really excited and pleased that Murad had started to delve into the world of Retinal. I had already used their Retinol products and loved them. Having used it now, I can really see the results promised.

🏆 Best Serum (Affordable) – Geek & Gorgeous A-Game 10

Retinal serums have always been notoriously expensive. That was until Geek & Gorgeous launched their own Retinal serums. I used this every other night until I emptied the product and was really pleased with the results. When I’m on a budget and in need of a decent Retinal serum, I’ll certainly be going for this one. 🏆 Best Mask (Luxury) Sisley Paris Black Rose Mask

I can totally understand why this is a beauty editors favourite mask. When I use this, my skin always looks and feels plumper, brighter and revitalised. As I mentioned in my review post for this, I tend to use this more as an overnight mask than a rinse off mask. It’s too good to rinse away. You want this on your skin for as long as possible. This makes it more worth its money (for me anyway!). Read my review here.

This is perfection when it comes to sunscreens. It has a lovely lightweight texture, smells beautiful and leaves a fabulous soft-focus finish on the skin. This has been formulated by a makeup brand, so it will create a perfect canvas for makeup application. Read my review here.

🏆 Best Sunscreen (Affordable) – L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Clinical SPF50+ Daily Anti-UV Fluid

This is my go-to budget option at the moment. If you love fluid sunscreens, you will undoubtedly love this. Here’s a little tip for you – do not pay full price for this. It is always on offer somewhere at some point. Check Boots, Superdrug and any of your local supermarkets that stock L’Oreal products to get yourself a discount. Review coming soon.

🏆 Best Bodycare (Luxury) – Erborian CC Body

I just thought this was such a genius invention – a CC Cream for your body! If during summer, your skin is looking like a white piece of a paper, you can simply slap some of this on to give you a sun-kissed, photoshopped skin. It gives a soft-focus finish and instantly makes pale legs look healthy and gorgeous. Read my review here.

🏆 Best Body Product (Affordable) – Naturium Glow-Getter Multi-Oil Body Wash

I cannot express how much I loved this. It’s an bodywash which starts off as an oil, which then turns into a creamy foam when mixed with water. It leaves your skin feeling so soft and hydrated. I found I could totally skip body lotions when using this – it really was that nourishing. Read my review here.

🏆 Best Tool – CurrentBody LED Mask

I use this religiously every single night and I really do notice such a difference in my skin when I use this. I find it helps my face look healthier, giving it a lit-from-with in glow. I love how convenient it is too – you can pop it on and do other things whilst you wait for the 10 minutes to be finished. I’m all for a bit of multitasking where possible. Use code PAUL at checkout for 15% off. Read my review here.
