Cultured Biomecare are a brand I’ve had my eye on for a while. They were founded by the co-founder of REN, Rob Calcraft, who was intrigued by the skin’s natural ability to self-regenerate and rejuvenate. This led him to investigating and researching the skin microbiome and thus began the journey of launching Cultured Biomecare.
They pride themselves on creating products for simple, streamlined routines. Every Cultured product is formulated with a unique active complex they call FutureFerments which the process of fermentation to transform individual ingredients into nutrient dense super-actives. The result is ingredients that that stronger, more easily absorbed and more supportive of your vital skin microbiome.
The packaging for each product is not only stylish and functional (I love that everything comes in pump packaging), but it’s also housed in fully recyclable glass.
I’ve been slowly working these products into various routines, and I’ve been impressed with their performance. I thought I’d start by picking off favourites, with full reviews for all products to come.
Cultured Biomecare Biome One Cleansing Balm
This is a super nourishing cleansing balm that effortlessly melts makeup, sunscreen and dirt. It turns turns into a milk when emulsified with water and rinses clean, leaving skin soft, supple and hydrated. It’s really good if you have sensitive skin, since it really helps nourish the skin.
Cultured Biomecare Biome One Rejuvenating Serum
Be prepared for hydration overload when using this serum. The silky, milky emulsion provides the skin with intense hydration, giving it a plumper, dewy look. Whilst this is excellent in the winter for parched skin, it’s also a good serum to use all year round. I find this works even better when applied to damp skin.
Cultured Biomecare Biome One Rich Cream
This is their newest launch. It’s a gloriously rich, but not heavy, hydrating cream, that provides instant relief to dry skin. As someone with dry skin, this is a moisturiser I am loving in my routines. It’s also excellent for helping build and maintain a strong, healthy skin barrier.
