Super Facialist Rosehip Hydrate Radiance Day Cream

The Super Facialist Rosehip Hydrate Radiance Day Cream was a pleasant surprise to me. It’s not a product that I ever though ‘god, I need to try that’, but since using it, I’m really glad I got the chance to try it.

What is it?

A moisturising cream targeting those with dry and sensitive skin.

What Do I Think?

I love this as a winter moisturiser when my dry skin seeks comfort and nourishment. It feels glorious when applied to the skin, melts in effortlessly and instantly relieves and dryness or tightness.

It’s designed to be a soothing, nourishing cream and contains Rose, Marshmallow Extract and Cucumber Seed Oil in a Shea Butter base to accomplish this.

For this of you who love a scent to their skincare, this is fragranced with a soft rose scent. To me, it’s not a ‘granny’ rose scent, just a nice subtle one. It somewhat reminds me of the scent of the Sisley Paris Black Rose Mask. I like that the scent doesn’t linger all day either. It dissipates not long after being applied.

The finish on the skin is a hydrated, plump, which I really love. It doesn’t feel greasy on the skin nor does it leave a greasy finish – just a subtle glow.

Although this contains SPF15, I wouldn’t use this as my sole sunscreen for the day. I would always layer a dedicated sunscreen (usually SPF50, but sometimes a SPF30 if we’re in the depths of winter). I always feel a bit ‘meh’ when I see a product with SPF 15 in it. I’d much rather they upped it to a SPF 30 or not bother at all. It’s possible pushing it up to a SPF30 may impact the delicious texture of the cream, so that’s why they’ve opted for a SPF15. Either way, it’s not an issue because I can just layer a dedicated sunscreen on top.

One thing I will say about this, is that it feels quite luxurious. You could easily switch out the cream into different packaging and I would believe it’s more expensive than it is.
