T-Zone Skincare

T-Zone Skincare is a brand under the Creightons umbrella. Their products appear to primarily be aimed at teens or tweens who are suffering with breakouts. The range is reminiscent of products I would use when I was in my teens and battling with breakouts. For me, I can’t believe that was 15 years ago or more.

I was sent some of their products to try, and whilst I would love to say I’ve been enjoying them, the reality is that I’m a bit disappointed. From the selection I was sent, there are possibly only two products I would happily recommend.

T-Zone Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Cleansing Wipes

What is it?

Biodegradable cleansing wipes formulated with antibacterial tea tree oil and calming witch hazel. They are designed to cleanse your skin and promote a ‘clearer complexion’.

What do I think?

Personally, I just don’t feel any wipes have their place in a good skincare routine. We’ve all moved on from using them years ago, when we came to our senses and realised they don’t actually thoroughly cleanse our skin. These wouldn’t be adequate enough to clean your skin. They may be useful in extreme circumstances when you have no access to water, but ultimately I would rather people got into a good habit of cleansing their skin with a decent cleanser.

T-Zone Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Nose Pore Strips

What is it?

A strip, designed to be placed onto the nose to get rid of blackheads.

What do I think?

Again, there is no way I can recommend these products. Pore strips are not good for your skin in any way, shape or form. I’m actually surprised these are still being sold. These are the sticky kind of nose-strip, that sticks to your skin and rips the blackheads out. It’s painful, and totally unnecessary when you could use an acid based cleanser or exfoliating toner, which will rid blackheads gently.

T-Zone Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Foaming Face Wash

What is it?

A foaming face wash designed to gently cleanse the skin.

What do I think?

This is one of the products from the range I like and would happily recommend. It’s a soft, foaming cleanser which contains some really good acne-fighting ingredients such as Salicylic Acid & Niacinamide. This is a tiny bit drying for my skin type (dry & dehydrated), but would really suit an oily or normal skin type. Use this instead of the wipes, please. It wouldn’t be good enough to remove a heavy face of makeup, but would make a really good second or morning cleanse.

T-Zone Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Cleansing Pads

What is it?

Cleansing Pads you massage over the skin to clean it.

What do I think?

These are just a smaller version of the wipes above, and I personally do not get the point in them at all. Use the Foaming Face Wash instead.

T-Zone Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Blemish Treatment

What is it?

Biodegradable cleansing wipes formulated with antibacterial tea tree oil and calming witch hazel. They are designed to cleanse your skin and promote a ‘clearer complexion’.

What do I think?

I think this is a really good blemish treatment, especially given the price point. It contains 1% naturally antibacterial tea tree and 5% witch hazel with 1% clearing salicylic acid and 2% niacinamide to calm and take down the blemish. It’s a non-drying formula, which is what you want to look out for in a blemish treatment, because drying the spot can often leave to dark spots which linger for weeks. It really does help take the blemish down too. Not instantly, admittedly, but over the course of couple of days.

Sadly, I wasn’t overly keen on the products by T-Zone Skincare. I feel bad posting negative reviews, but I just feel like this is a brand that’s stuck in ‘the old days’. I can imagine my mum innocently picking these products up for me when I was in school, thinking they would help cure my acne.

With the knowledge we have about skin care these days, it’s a little disappointing that we can’t move past the pore strips and cleansing wipes. They have no place in a skincare routine 2024.

The only T-Zone Skincare products I would recommend and use are the Foaming Face Wash and the Blemish Treatment. The brand are on the right track with those two. The rest, I believe, should be avoided.
