I’m a huge fan of the OG Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. The scent is beautiful, it melts down sunscreen, dirt and makeup effortlessly and it feels super luxurious at the end of a long, hard day. As much as I love the OG scent, I think I love the new limited edition Elemis Pro-Collagen Green Fig Cleansing Balm even more.
What is it?
For those of you unfamiliar with the Elemis cleansing balms, they are a balm which transforms into an oil when melted down, and then to a milk when emulsified with water. They clean the skin easily but, more importantly, leave the skin feeling soft, nourished and hydrated.
What Do I Think?
You get the exact same experience with this version of the cleansing balm as you with the OG Pro-Collagen Cleansing balm (review here), but with a new gorgeous scent. I am rubbish at explaining scents, so I’ve taken this directly from Elemis’ mouth:-
Top notes: Fresh & sweet notes of Raspberry & Bergamot
Middle notes: Warm notes of Fig & Coconut
Base notes: Earthy notes of Sandalwood & Cedarwood
There is something about this combination of fragrance notes that creates a stunning scent. It’s sweet, soft, uplifting yet cosy. It really adds to the experience of cleansing your face and feels like a real treat after a stressful day in the office. If your skin is in need of some extra comfort and nourishment, you can leave this on for 10 minutes as a little hydrating mask.
This mix of oils and butters, such as Star Flower Oil, Elderberry Oil, Optimega Oil and Rose & Mimosa Wax in the cleansing balm give it a truly lavish texture that everyone will enjoy.
Would I recommend?
Yes – but only if you have no budget concerns. There are plenty of affordable cleansing balms out there that will do the same job.

Key Ingredients

How I Use It
You can use this morning or evening, but I prefer to use it in the evening. You simply apply a small amount of the balm to your palms and massage in over you face. It will melt into an oil, and melt down makeup, sunscreen and dirt. After a minute or so, you can add a bit of water to your palms and massage further to turn it into a milky-consistency. You can then either rinse off or remove with a wet cloth.
