Stratia C+C Serum Review

I totally get the hype behind the Stratia products. I’ve really enjoyed using their products over the past couple of months. Their C+C Serum promises to brighten, smooth and firm your skin whilst providing antioxidant protection.

What is it?

The Stratia C+C Serum is a Vitamin C Serum which will brighten, smooth and firm the skin whilst providing antioxidant protection.

What Do I Think?

You get two forms of Vitamin C in this serum – Ascorbic Acid which neutralises free radicals caused by environmental stresses like UV rays and pollution and Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate, which is an oil-soluble Vitamin C derivative that also helps fight free radicals and brighten the skin. In addition to the Vitamin C, they’ve cleverly formulated thi with CoQ10 which helps promote youthful skin.

As you’d expect, this comes in air-tight pump packaging which is my preferred packaging, especially when it comes to unstable ingredients such as Vitamin C.

This has a heavy silicone base which helps keep the Vitamin C stable. When applied to the skin you can really feel the silicone – it feels super silky on the skin and spreads nicely. But what’s interesting is that the silicones have been designed to evaporate when exposed to air, meaning the active ingredients get left on your skin but you’re not left with a face that has that silicone slippy feel to it.

You do need to allow time for the silicone to evaporate (maybe 2-3 minutes), so you just need to be mindful of this before going ahead an applying other products, or you may get a bit of pilling.

I used this every day in my morning routine and despite the silicone, I found it layered well with a manner of different products and the results were good. I noticed a brighter and more even skin tone than I had before I used it. It was extremely effective at reducing pigmentation left from old spot marks.

Sometimes Vitamin C products can be a bit irritating, especially when using Ascorbic Acid, but I think they’ve successfully made a serum that provides an effective dosage of Vitamin C without the irritation. I therefore think it’s a good choice, even if your skin is sensitive to Vitamin C.

Would I recommend?

Yes it’s a good Vitamin C serum where the results promised are delivered.
