Everyone’s favourite affordable skincare brand, The Ordinary are doing some fantastic things at the moment. It’s fair to say that most people’s skincare journey started with products from The Ordinary – mine included. One of their most iconic products has to be the The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 serum. It’s recently been reformulated based on feedback from customers to give even better results than before.
What is it?
This is a hydrating serum, and all routines should include some sort of hydrating product. When your skin is hydrated, it looks plump, dewy and healthy and you’ll even notice a reduction in fine lines.
What Do I Think?
This contains 5 forms of Hyaluronic Acid that work harmoniously together to intensely hydrate, plump and smooth the skin. They’ve added Ceramides this time, one of my favourite ingredients, which help prevent water loss. Ceramides are a dry skins best friend. As someone with dry skin I opt to use products with ceramides in a lot, so I’m thrilled they’ve added them to this formula.
The newly reformulated serum has a lighter and less sticky texture compared to the old formulation.
It’s super easy to slot this serum into your #skincareroutine . You can use it day or night and layer it easily with other serums, moisturisers and sunscreen.
This is a serum for you if your skin feels dry or dehydrated, or could do with some plumping, or even if you just want to help maintain a healthy skin barrier. It’s a good serum to pair alongside your stronger actives, like Retinoids or Acids to keep your skin hydrated and your barrier strong.
Would I recommend?
Yes – it’s affordable, easily available and a good hydrating serum.
