I think cream and milky cleansers tend to be my favourite. They are the ones I will reach for most out of all my cleansers and I always have a few on the go. I was really excited to try the Stratia Velvet Cleansing Milk, because it sounded like one I would really love.
What is it?
A moisturising milk cleanser which removes makeup, sunscreen and dirt from the skin, leaving it clean, soft and hydrated.
What Do I Think?
I think this is a cleanser that would be a welcome addition to any routine and for any skin type.
The milky cream texture breaks down makeup, sunscreen and dirt with ease, without stripping the skin of any moisture.
What I love most about this cleanser is that they’ve focused on making this an effective cleanser, but also paid respect to the skin barrier by making it an emollient rich formula. There’s some wonderful nourishing and calming ingredients, such as Olive Oil, Rice Bran, Chamomile and Aloe Vera.
I used this as we transition from summer into autumn last year, and it was a fantastic time to use it. It left my skin feeling clean, but most importantly, provided comfort and moisture, which my skin was in need of due to the change in tempreture.
It’s brilliant if your skin is sensitive, or your barrier is impaired because it’s so gentle and soothing. If I’ve damaged my skin barrier, this cleanser doesn’t sting my skin, and nor does it irritate it. It’s also not fragranced, so definitely one to try if your skin doesn’t tolerate fragrance.
The pump packaging is really convenient too, and it did a good job at getting every last remnant out the tube.
Would I recommend?
Yes! If you’re after a gentle, nourishing, non-fragranced cleanser, then definitely give this one a try.
