The Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream

Most of us drink coffee to wake us up in the morning, but did you know a little caffeine can help to reduce puffiness around the eye area, making you look more awake? This is when you reach for The Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream.

What is it?

An eye cream with Caffeine and peptides designed to improve the appearance of puffiness and dark circles.

What Do I Think?

Caffeine acts as a diuretic, it helps to reduce fluid retention under the eye, which is a major cause of puffiness under the eye. They’ve also added Matrixyl 3000 peptide, which helps, over time, to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

It’s a lightweight, but hydrating eye cream which feels cooling when applied. If you want an added cooling sensation, you can pop this in the fridge for half an hour before use. I personally do not do this, I can’t be bothered with the faff 😂

I find it takes a little bit of time to fully absorb, but this doesn’t worry me because I quite like the feeling of moisture around my eyes first thing.

When I use it, I do notice a reduction in puffiness, however, I can’t say I notice any reduction in dark circles.  My dark circles are caused from lack of sleep, and I find something like Sunday Riley Auto Correct better at hiding those due to the brightening effect it gives the eye area.

Would I recommend?

For its hydrating and de-puffing, yes. For hiding dark circles, I think there are better options out there like the Sunday Riley Auto Correct, or even a concealer.
