As a lover of all things Sunday Riley, I just knew I would love the CEO Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream from the minute I read the name.

John Lewis are currently offering an incredible saving until the end of April with their CEO Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream 50g and 15g Bundle. This bundle costs £60 and contains a full-size cream, in addition to a travel-sized version which is perfect for taking with you on any summer holidays you have planned. The full-size costs £60 on its own, which means the travel-sized version in this bundle is basically free.  Plus, if you spend £80, you can grab a free 6 piece gift set to compliment haul.

What is it?

The Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C Rich cream is a moisturiser which promises to hydrate, brighten and provide antioxidant protection to the skin.

What Do I Think?

As someone with dry skin, I often reach for rich creams, especially in winter when my skin really needs it.

This is formulated with 5% THD Ascorbate (Vitamin C), which is stabilised, potent, yet gentle. It helps fight signs of ageing, such as pigmentation, whilst also acting as an antioxidant, fighting environmental aggressors. Exopolysaccharides provide further antioxidant protection, Lime Pearl gently exfoliates and Bisabolo helps calm sensitised skin.

The texture of this lives up to its name. It’s a beautifully rich cream that instantly nourishes the skin the minute it’s applied.  I personally loved using this as the weather turned colder at the end of last year. It manages to meet the perfect criteria of being rich enough to be hydrating, without feeling greasy or heavy on the skin.  I think if you’re oily, this might be a bit too rich for you for daytime use. If you’re on the drier side like me, you will love it.

The finish on the skin is a nice one. You get a subtle glow from it. When layered with their CEO Glow Vitamin C and Turmeric Face Oil, the finish on the skin provides a glass-like finish. As I reached towards the end of the jar, I noticed my skin looked a lot brighter, even and healthier.

Another thing I really liked about this was the citrusy scent. It was refreshing, cheerful. It also didn’t linger too long once applied, which I liked.

I’m tempted to pick up the @sundayriley Ice moisturiser next. Has anyone tried it and what do you think of it?

Would I recommend?

I would totally recommend this. As I said, if you’re oily you might find this a bit too rich for day time use, but you might enjoy the CEO Afterglow Moisturiser instead.
