Gillette Intimate Trimmer Review

This isn’t the sexiest subject to talk about (or is it? 🤔) but we all do it – and if you’re not, why aren’t you? Today we’re going to talk a little bit about body hair and how to get maintain it should you desire. Or perhaps, given that 90% of my audience are women, how your man can maintain it.

Last year Gillette launched their Intimate Trimmer Range designed specifically for use in intimate areas. Taking any type of razor or trimmer to your nether regions can be daunting and time consuming. And I’m sure many men can relate to finishing a trim session with a few nicks and cuts. But, luckily Gillette have our back (or maybe I should say, our balls) with their Pubic Hair & Ball trimmer.

I picked this up from Boots when it was half price. It retails for £60, which I thought was quite expensive, but £30 seemed reasonable.  It was actually quite nice to see a trimmer launched specifically for use around your private areas, since many of us have previous had to resort to using a beard trimmer.

This offering from Gillette is cordless and waterproof, making it handy to use in your bathroom.  The blades are detachable so you can easily clean them. When charged, you get around 80 minutes use – plenty of time to do a thorough job.

What’s different about this trimmer to your standard beard trimmer is the Skin First technology. It helps protect the skin whilst you trim by lifting the hair before it cuts it with the closely spaced blades. There’s also a sensitive comb attachment which allows you to get pretty close without the worry you’re going to cut yourself.

I’ve used this several times on various parts of my body and haven’t experienced any nicks or cuts whilst using it. You can even use it quite quickly without worrying about cutting yourself.

If you prefer a totally hairless look, then you’ll need to pick the razor from the Intimate line. This cuts the hair pretty close to being hairless, but not totally hairless.

Definitely one to try if you want to maintain but don’t want the faff or worry about cuts down below. And ladies – perhaps a nice little stocking stuffer for Christmas?
