As someone with dry and dehydrated skin, I really rely on using a hydrating serum in my routines to add some hydration back into my skin. Every single routine I do, morning and night, contain a hydrating serum of some kind.
Keeping your skin hydrated is so important. A lot of the time, I will get people in their 20s asking what they can do for their fine lines which have started appearing. The majority of the time, the fine lines and wrinkles they’re experiencing are due to dehydration. They’re not the typical fine lines you get from ageing.
Incoporating a hydrating serum in your routine can help solve this issue. They’re designed to intensely hydrate the skin and as a result, you should see a mild plumping effect and the lines will disappear.
If you’re on the lookout for a hydrating serum, some of the hydrating serums I’ve loved using over the past year or so are photographed here.

Whilst there are a number of great affordable hydrating serums, I tend to find the more you spend the better the formula. When you spend more, you tend to get a superior formulation which is less sticky, has less tendency to dry the skin instead of hydrate, and you also sometimes get some added ingredients, such as Peptides with the Trinny London one.
