This is quite possibly one of the most outlandish products I’ve ever been sent to review. I’m a fan of the Skin Proud products, and they’ve recently launched The Hot Seat to add to their Body Proud collection.
What is it?
The Hot Seat is a cream which the brand says is designed for your booty to help firm and sculpt it.
What Do I Think?
This has been formulated with Manilkara Multinervis Leaf Extract which can have a smoothing and plumping effect on the skin. Caffeine and Apricot Kernel Oil have been added to encourage brightness and moisturise the skin.
The bottle has an applicator on the end of it with four metal nodules on it. You simply squeeze a small amount of product out and then use the nodules to massage it into your derriere.
The name is very apt – it gives massage-activated heat, similar to what you’d get from Deep Heat. It lasts maybe an hour or so before calming down. I’m not overly keen on the heating sensation. It feels a little gimmicky and not totally pleasant – I mean does anyone want an incredibly hot feeling arse? I personally don’t – especially when it’s summer. I think it has been put in to give the sensation it’s doing it’s job, but to me it feels a little unnecessary.
If you’re hoping this cream is going to give you the arse of Kim K, then sadly you are out of luck. You’ll get a temporary plumping effect and your butt will look/feel more hydrated and softer, but ultimately, it’s not going to give you the lifting effect you think it will. You’ll need to visit a gym for that.
Would I recommend?
Overall, I’d say don’t rely on this for giving you a plump juicy peach, but you could use it if you want your bottom to look temporarily better, if, for example, you were going on a beach vacation and were exposing a little bit more skin than you would at home.
